Armejun was a village, abandoned in the mid sixties. The late owners came back in the 80`s to save there houses, public buildings,... and continued coming back at least once a year to relive the old days and bring back life to there village.
But the rest of the year it was still a ghost town, with many houses still falling. Untill september 2013, when 2 new inhabitants arrived (Ruben and Dave) with the project to rebuild and relive Armejun.
Knowing that the village is very isolated, only 1 dirt road of 23 kilometers to reach armejun, poor mobile conection, no electricity, no services in general. The perfect place to start an ecofriendly, selfsustainable community.
Basicly living like before on the farm, with vegetable gardens, fruit trees, animals of all sorts,... good food, natural products, but still with the basic modern luxerys, such as renewable energy sources (wind, solar power and others,..), cars (in the future adapt them so they will drive on recycled vegetable oil)
The idea is to form a comunity, meaning we work together, eat together, share what we have, but still respecting eachothers space and privacy so as time goes, each couple there house.
On this page you will find an interactive map (google maps) to see its location, also pictures.
